For the 9th time in a row, U2U will be present at Tech·Ed 2007: we deliver several conference sessions, ask the experts sessions and assistance during the hands on labs. U2U will man a large booth to promote our training services for the newest Microsoft technologies for 2008.

Session "OFF305 Building, Packaging, Deploying and Maintaining SharePoint Solutions"

Developers working on SharePoint solutions have the possibility to package the solution components in a distribution package called a SharePoint Solution. This session discusses the various types of solutions one can build for SharePoint and the way to package these solutions and make them available to SharePoint administrators for deployment. You’ll learn about the best practices and guidelines for doing this. In addition, you’ll also get an overview of the supported scenarios for maintaining the different types of SharePoint solutions in a production environment.

Session "Programming and Customizing Search in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS)"

This session covers the different developer scenarios for working with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007. In this session you’ll learn how to use the new search object model automating many of the tasks administrators have to do, customize the Search Center with custom tabs, pages and XSLT for rendering the search results the way you want, create Web Parts providing a custom search experience using the new query classes, communicate remotely to the search service through the Web Service and build custom security trimmers.

Session "ASP.NET AJAX with SharePoint including Microsoft Silverlight and Popfly "

SharePoint provides a great infrastructure for quickly building intranet and Internet applications. ASP.NET AJAX provides a foundation for creating highly productive Web interfaces. Put them together, and you can create great things! We cover the basics of working with ASP.NET AJAX inside of Windows SharePoint Services v3.0, as well as Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. We take a look at how to integrate ASP.NET AJAX with SharePoint, and how to use various ASP.NET AJAX tools such as the JavaScript libraries, JSON-enabled Web services, ASP.NET Control Extenders, and UpdatePanels to build powerful Web applications. We also discuss some gotchas and best practices in working with ASP.NET AJAX inside of SharePoint.

The session is planned to be high-level and especially interesting for project managers, technical sales, architect and design folks but as both Ted and Patrick are gentle guys, they’ll allow everybody to jump in and join the discussion in a constructive mode.
